14/60 Bulwar
Artysta wynajął pokój w hotelu z widokiem na dwie arterie Paryża Boulevard Montmartre i Boulevard des Italiens. W ciagu trzech miesięcy namalował 16 obrazów, w tym 14 ujęć bulwaru Montmartre. Tylko jeden z nich przedstawia bulwar nocą. To nietypowy obraz zarówno w twórczości Pissarro jak i innych impresjonistów - studium miasta w sztucznym świetle lamp gazowych i co dopiero zamontowanych pośrodku drogi elektrycznych latarni.
Światła miasta nocą są motywem przewodnim tej wyprawy. Do tego samego pomysłu podeszłam kilka razy. Spokojnie i żywiołowo, figuratywnie i abstrakcyjnie.
Jeżeli tylko macie taką możliwość spróbujcie namalować widok zza okna w wieczornym świetle. Jeśli nie - odwołajcie się, jak ja do wspomnienia i wyobraźni:))) Eksperymentujcie z grubymi i cienkimi warstwami farby:) I jeszcze jedna wskazówka - wniosek z moich eksperymentów - zacznijcie od jasnego, np. żółtego tła i na nim wprowadzicie ciemne, np. granatowe tony lub odwrotnie - ale też kontrastowo:))) Zamieście prace i komentarze poniżej:))) lub pod tym linkiem na Facebooku! The Boulevard
The artist rented a room in a hotel overlooking two arteries of Paris Boulevard Montmartre and Boulevard des Italiens. In three months, he painted 16 paintings, including 14 shots of the Montmartre Boulevard. Only one of them depicts the boulevard at night. This is an unusual picture both in the work of Pissarro and other impressionists - a study of the city in the artificial light of gas lamps and electric lanterns recently mounted in the middle of the road.
The city lights at night are the leitmotif of this trip. I approached the same idea several times. Calm and expressive way, figuratively and abstractly.
If you can, try to paint the view from behind the window in the evening light. If not - refer, as I do, to memories and imagination :))) Experiment with thick and thin layers of paint :) And one more tip - a conclusion from my experiments - start with a light, e.g. yellow background and introduce dark tones, e.g. deep blue or vice versa - play with contrast!
